Guest Program

Cowboys StadiumYour first stop will be the new Cowboys Stadium, the new retractable roof stadium in Arlington, Texas for the National Football League's Dallas Cowboys. It replaces the open-air Texas Stadium, which opened in 1971, as the Cowboys' home. This tour will give you a feel for the enormity of the structure which will seat approximately 80,000 but can be expandable to up to 100,000 for major events, like Super Bowl XLV, which will be held at the Cowboys New Stadium February 6, 2011. The retractable roof stadium will incorporate some of the historical features of Texas Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys for the past 35 years. Cowboys Stadium InteriorThere will be distinct arches spanning the length of the stadium, a hole in the roof when the dome is open and open-air end zone plazas, which can give the stadium an outdoor feel. There will be a canted exterior wall, with an 86-foot high glass, curtain-wall surface. A signature element for the new venue is the 365-day a year entry, framing in glass the future Pro Shop, Dallas Cowboy Hall of Fame and ticket office. There will be huge video screens on each side of the stadium for the fans viewing pleasure.

Downtown GrapevineNext we'll head back to Grapevine where you'll have lunch at Big Fish. Smack in the middle of historic, downtown Grapevine, amid the antique shops and midway between the biker bar and the fabulous French bakery, a surprisingly good plate of pecan-crusted trout awaits.

Afterwards, you will have time to shop on Main Street. Stroll picturesque downtown Grapevine to discover the perfect present for gift-giving, or just the right reward for yourself. Home to dozens of boutiques and shops, downtown Grapevine is much more than shopping, it's a community!

Cross Timbers WineryDid you know that Grapevine, TX has seven wineries with tasting rooms and is becoming a nationally recognized wine region? Next you will tour and taste in one of Grapevine's most well-renowned wineries. Cross Timbers Winery Tasting Room is located in the historic Brock farm. After the Civil War, this historic property was owned by Dr. Dorris, Grapevine's beloved pioneer physician, before he built his beautiful Victorian home on East College Street. Later the home of the Brock family, many of the early traces of the farm and life on the Grape Vine Prairie can still be found here. The Brock Farm is being lovingly restored for its new use by local resident and winemaker, Don Bigbie.

After the wine tasting, you will be transported back to the Gaylord Texan Hotel and Resort. Bus departs at 9:30 a.m. and estimated arrival is 3:30 p.m.. The cost for this exciting guest program is $85 per person, includes transportation, lunch and tour and tasting fees.
